Trip to Zion National Park

On our trip to visit with Grandma H. and Jay we were able to stop and see Zion National Park. It was beautiful! We had just enough clouds to make the scenery seem more majestic and just a little rain to bring out the colors of the rocks.

This was Jaxon's first trip to a national park so we picked up a 'Passport to your National Parks' for him.
This is a neat little book that will let him (us for now) keep track of all his visits to national parks and monuments. Similar to a real passport you get a different stamp that records the name of each national park and the date you visited. We hope that he will add a few more in the next few years.

Jaxon was pretty cooperative and only protested after we got home really late. He even allowed us to go for a hike or two (see next post). We really enjoyed what we saw, but that was only a small portion of the park. We are looking forward to another trip in the future.
